Street Science has been recognised as an industry leader in science education taking out the Champion Children’s Educational Services award at the Small Business Champion awards ceremony on Saturday 29th April 2023. Street Science took out the top spot in a highly competitive category with 23 other finalists.
From face-to-face incursions in schools, and entertaining science shows and workshops in the community Street Science ensure that science education is accessible to everyone.
For over 10 years Street Science have been taking their award-winning science program into schools across Queensland and NSW. Now with Federal Government backing they will be expanding across Australia with the newly launched SISTA Project to ensure that all Australian children can reach their STEM potential.
The Australian Small Business Champion Awards are recognised as the ‘Oscars’ small businesses.

Founded in 2012 by Steven Liddell, a fully qualified science educator who has a passion for bringing science to life, Street Science make learning fun by offering exciting and engaging stage shows and workshops, taking them into schools and communities across Australia.
Since winning ‘Outstanding Small Business – Queensland’ at the Telstra Business Awards in 2019, Street Science have also won a Gold Stevie for ‘Innovation in Science and Technology’ at the Asia Pacific International Stevie Awards 2021 and took out the HSBC Award for Excellence in Business Adaption. In 2021 they also won the Small Business Champion award for ‘Educational Services’.
In 2022 Street Science picked up silver in the ROAR Awards in the Business Excellence’ category, and bronze in ‘Best Product Innovation’ category for the Street Science Classroom Kits.
So far in 2023 Street Science have won two gold Stevie awards for ‘Innovative Achievement in Science or Technology’ and ‘Innovative Achievement in Thought Leadership’, as well as the Grand Stevie.
Street Science were also named a ‘Top 10 Student Engagement Service Provider Asia-Pacific Region’ by Educational Insights Magazine.
