Street Science present individually tailored programs to assist schools as they engage with the current phase of the Australian National Curriculum. Programs can be customised to compliment the needs of your individual school, with the ability to present age appropriate material for students in Prep right through to Year 10.

• We work with the Head of Curriculum and Teachers alike to ensure the learning needs of each age group are met.

• Extensive insurance and full risk assessments are provided for all sessions.

• Extension resources are provided to continue the learning in the classroom beyond the incursion.

• Auslan Teaching Notes available on request.

Prep

We love exploring science with the youngest of students to help them explain meaningful and age-appropriate scientific concepts.

Year 1

Street Science encourages confidence in science from an early age through audience participation and inquiry-based learning.

Year 2

Early Learning and Vacation Care (OSH)

ENGAGE your students, INSPIRE tomorrow’s leaders and ACHIEVE positive outcomes… with the help of Street Science!

Our Kindergarten and Early Childhood Science program is run by our fully qualified and experienced Early Learning Educators and based on principles of the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG).

Our Vacation Care sessions are run by experienced science communicators who mix humour, exciting demonstrations and quality scientific explanations into an interactive science experience. Children attending your vacation care will be immersed in our ‘Pop Up’ science lab whilst getting HANDS-ON to complete scientific activities in a personalised workshop on the science theme of your choice.

Kindergarten

With the Wonderful World Show, children are invited to WONDER, IMAGINE and INQUIRE in a captivating stage show including curious colour changes, cloud creations, extraordinary chemical reactions, a little bit of magic and of course plenty of FUN!

Vacation Care

In the Busy Bodies Science Show, children are invited to WONDER, IMAGINE and INQUIRE in a captivating stage show based on the amazing functions of our bodies, exploring body systems, their functions and how to keep ourselves safe and healthy.
